My SRT-4 had made 395whp/405wtq with a 57trim (crap) and measely stage1 (577cc @ 58psi) injectors. That took about 4-5G's to accomplish, but then again I was one of the first to put out 400 (take 5whp) .

I am glad I got my EVO though No regrets here .

Damn, stock injectors on a neon pushing 395whp? What kind of duty cycle were you pushing? I see most upgrade to stage2 injectors (682cc) and still not pushing over 350whp.

I think you are all forgetting the biggest factor between the two cars. The drivers...

thats probably bigger turbo the 60 trim, and built motor, with 117..cus a evo with 2.3L stroker and 35R puts around 500 on dyno with pump...and a EVO is more responsive to parts....

Don't let everyone here get you so confident and cocky.....Let me get this out there A UPGRADED TURBOED SRT FROM A ROLL IS NO JOKE and CAN and WILL beat LOTS of HIGHLY modded evos (straightline of course). They are freeway monsters trust me! To be honest with you (coming from someone who used to own SRT, and has driven big turboed evo) I think it would be very close, giving you the slight edge. You should be able to take him, but it will be VERY close. But like everyone else has said, the Evo is by far the better car of the two, so who cares if it's faster going straight, just look at the choice I made (in sig).

Its easy to get a lot of power out of the SRT. I read an article in either modified or street tuner of one with 5k in it and over 500hp to the wheels. But its to the front wheels so it doesnt really do much for me. Id rather have that 500hp int he evo anyday.

I heard somewhere that after you reach the 300 hp on front wheel cars, then it becomes pointless because the benefits are gone, less traction happens which makes it pointless on straights. (Drag cars are different).

Now dont quote me on that but that's what someone posted on one of the forums for honda. That's why the RL is 300hp AWD. Well that's what I was told.

Wrong, buy slicks, motor mounts, suspension, traction bars, and you have all the traction you need in a FWD car.
