Evo Ix

Well i've seen many many people posting great numbers from their evo ixs. I've just recently noticed that the norm for evo ixs is not 330 whp anymore but 340 whp from bolt ons. So i was just wondering what kind of dyno you guys used to get these numbers. We all know some dynos read low and others high. please post your evo ix numbers (whp & trq) and also what dyno you used.

I'd bet its mostly Dynojets. I put down 300whp/310wtq with just a custom flash, mbc, and test pipe.

I put down 300/308 with air filter/custom tune/MBC on stock exhaust.

I'm not sure what the acutal dyno was, but it was on rollers. So, whatever that means to anybody that knows anything......

By bother when there is real track time data? I find it funny that STi's struggle to trap 107mph with a turboback and a reflash whereas we can surpass that with just a flash and mbc.

do mustang dyno's give a more realistic number? i thought they load cars more than the street - affecting spoolup and peak torque rpm.

Of course, Dynojets, but who cares? Dynojets are the standard for comparison in the US. A mustang dyno is not MORE realistic, because there is no basis for realism. It only matters what you put down at the track. A mustang dyno can be made to read very low or very high, so you can't go around saying that they are more realistic. You also can't say that's what STi's use, because they use whatever is available to them. There isn't even an AWD Mustang Dyno in my area - it's not like the Sti's just choose not to dyno. They go to the Dynojet, Superflow, or Dyno Dynamics in the area...

I put down 303 whp / 288 wtq (just with MBC and DynoFlash) on a Mustang Dyno. Stock exhaust, filter, etc...
