there is a guide in the how to section on this forum on where to install the wire... follow it, it works. if you get confused after you read that, then ask !! i followed it and it works great. The line you tapped into on your dimmer switch isnt going to make the gauge dim with the dimmer, its just for a supplied 12vdc that comes on when the lights are turned on... it should have been the farthest wire to the right. Just read the install instructions

Get an add a circuit and pull power out of the cruise control circuit in the fuse panel. It is constant power from the acc. position through start and the Evo doesn't have cruise so it is not being used for anything. That way your boost gauge doesn't start recalibrating as you are cranking the engine.

if its constant, it wont be how it is suppose to... its hooked to the lights because when you turn them on at night, the gauge lights up. you need to tap into your actual parking light, or tap into the instrument cluster lighting... that may be best. just dont screw it up this time

Is he looking for gauge power or Gauge light power?

The description I gave is for gauge power onan electric gauge. I thought that was what he was looking for. You are correct that hook up would not be correct for lights.

There is a how to on guage installs. I do not have the link but you can tag all wires needed for power and dimming at the cig lighter. That is where i taged mine and it works great. Good luck.
