Guys:

Keep in mind,

1. most statistics are made up

2. this is MOST STOLEN for 2003-2005 only, which is less than 10% of the cars on the road.

3. I'm willing to guess 90% of "STOLEN" evo's were just the owners committing insurance fraud.

Good, now everybody in America is helping me keep an eye on my car. Just about everywhere I went yesterday people would remind me of our standing on that list.

I think it's a bogus claim. Just because the news says doesn't make it accurate. Maybe the person who wrote the article had a vendetta against Evos and just wanted to put it on there. I just dont think there were enough evo's produced to even make it on such a list. Then again these claims are based on a state by state basis.

I would like to see the same survey done by state. They SHOULD be able to do that right? They did grab all this data and make these statements, so why not break it down? Or would they lose some of their points if it was done that way?

It might be tru because if you notice these are grand theft autos and not lil 600 dollar civics. So I might go ahead and take precaution because my car was stolen b4 so I know what its like

That's just it, there was not enough evos in production to make the list imo.

I believe it. I had my car broken into at the dealer a week after I bought it. Someone stole the front 2 seats... yeah theyre $3800 EACH from the dealer.... Allstate had to pay out almost $9000 the first month I had the car...

Keep in mind that they can increase your premium based on these numbers and you have no recourse. Why should they verify them?

Our local TV news ran this story last night, and for the "Evo" they showed a base Lancer at the dealership. I was watching the news at my local gym and before they showed the base Lancer, I was grabbing my buddy and saying, "Hey, that's my car!" Then they showed the base Lancer. I hid my head in shame.
