Well for reasons that i don't want to get into it looks as if i will have to park the Evo for a long period of time (3-6 months) . I was wondering if anyone has had to buy a car cover for their ride ? I was looking around and they range anywhere from $180-250 which is cool but i was wondering if anyone has any input on car covers....thanks all !

Not speeding tickets. I was looking at cover craft and other websites and i read all the post on car covers and i have one in mind (Noah) but was wondering if anyone has any experience with that particular brand. I mean i would go ape $hit if the cover sucked and i had scratches (due to the sand here in the desert) or even worse, milky spots from water entrapment. The woman that sells them (i talked to her earlier on the phone) told me that they don't have issues like that with that brand and they don't have any record of their insurance (yes the car cover company has insurance on their products in case their stuff ruins yours) paying out becasue of damage to paint....which sounds good , but then again Mitsu has a good warranty on their cars but try taking them a transmission problem .....good luck

well i would be careful because as water evaporates , it rises which causes water to become "trapped" underneath the cover which may cause a little rust if it will be sitting as long as you say it will.
The factory Mitsu cover sucks for outdoor applications. IE Blows off, leaves milky water spots, small scratches from rubbing, etc....
I would look elsewhere for a cover, Buy a car cover from a car cover company not from a car company. My .02c

You can buy something called a car capsule, which is a robust envelope that encloses the car and refreshes the air inside with filtered air. So nothing can get "under" it. Apparently they make them for outdoors, too.

Where are you stationed at? Maybe rent a spot at the local (but safe) storage place. Basically like having your car garaged for the next 6 months. Just be sure to put a good lock on the door.
That's what I have, California Car Cover. They have elastic front and rear to keep the cover on. Can order it with a cable and lock, which would be a good idea in your case. I have the Storm series, which is also made to prevent door dings. Like the Mitsubishi cover, it comes with the shape for the wing, just have to specify. I think I paid $180.
