No just for the evos.

Cars with MAF sensors need recirculated, and you can do a standalone and get rid of the MAF sensor, and then VTA all you want. For the cars it is bad, and i just farted, and it definitely wasnt recirculated, it most definitely was VTA.

*EDIT* Not all cars with MAF sensors need recirculated, but ours in particular because of where the sensor sits, it needs to.

Skilmatic, I noticed in another thread that you said the 1g DV is the best, but that's not the same as the stock IX DV. The stock IX DV is far better. The stock 1g DV is what we used to have on old 1Gs - it is very good and is aluminum, but it's only good up to 16-17psi uncrushed, then 21-22psi crushed. The stock IX DV and JDM MR DV are the ones that we use on Evos and are good up to 24-25psi uncrushed.

VTA is only bad for AFM-equipped cars as you over-fuel between gearshifts. Not sure if the Evo is AFM'd or not.

My CA18DET is AFM-equipped and I run a VTA. Doesn't seem to affect it.

What is AFM?

It's bad for maf-equipped cars like the Evo where the air is metered before the turbo, and the BOV vents after the turbo, thus causing a rich condition between shifts (sounds like what you said).

Sorry AFM stands for "air flow meter". Same as what you would call a MAF.

I call it the 1g anyway. I know what you mean though. The stock 9 diverter valve(DV) is the best one for the evo. However, no matter what we say warr, peopel sometimes have to learn the hard way.

Well, please don't call it the 1g, because that's a different BOV and some people use it. Buschur still sells it for the VIIIs in his packages...

A ricer becuase he installed a Sard? i know its a VTA and it sucks, but seems like you dont like it becuase its a jap product, looks like you're a racist not a racer, anyway no one asked for your opinion on products, please stay on topic!

You're not sure of anything yourself, who said the IX doesnt come with a plastic bov? im guessing you were in the factory while they were building them all? i can post pics and show you, why the hell would i lie? its just a bov, and plus the car isnt in or from the states, maybe you get it in a diffrent spec there, but im 100% sure that its plastic so please dont assume its not when you didnt even see the car, why dont you give the factory a call and ask them for their evos that are euro specs and get your facts straight!

Yeah, that made a lot of sense. I'm a racist, because your stupid friend added 2 useless mods for nearly $600 to make his Evo slower, and one of the parts looks like it came from Star Wars. Like I know or care where Sard products are made. Are you truly defending his ricer status? Look at those mods - they have Honda riceboy written all over them.

Ok, so when did you say this IX was from another country? Your location says nothing useful - the purpose of that is to let people know where you are. Otherwise, the assumption is the US. Either way, I've never heard of any IX anywhere coming stock with a plastic BOV. It's easy to withold information (like not mentioning it was a SARD R2D2 at the beginning), then come back later and tell people they don't know their facts. Without specifics, we must assume - you leave us no choice.
