Dawes device vs Hallman pro MBC

Hi

I found on net this two MBC.

Dawes is cheaper, but I dont know if its OK?

Has anybody any experiences with them? Or is Hallman best choice? I want it for 21 psi

I have the Dawes and have been using it for many years (back on my '02 WRX, and now in the EVO). I think it's great. I recommended to a buddy who's happily running it in his WRX too.

For the EVO, the stock spring wasn't quite capable (I forget what it's rated to.. around 19psi I think). I just disassembled, stretched it a tiny bit, then reassembled. It then was able to boost much higher (higher than the 20-21psi I wanted, anyway). It's pretty stable.. at least as stable as the Profec B Spec II and Profec E-01. After the Greddy units didn't prove to control any better than the Dawes, I sold them and put the Dawes back in. I considered putting in a Hallman, but my buddy has a Hallman in his MR and it didn't seem any more stable (maybe even slightly less), so I didn't bother.

If you plan to adjust boost frequently, this is not the controller for you. It's a bit of a pain compared to the nice dial on the Hallman. I don't adjust more than once per season though, so this is perfect.
