Anyway to "approximately" guess WHP without dyno?

By adding up mods, tune, etc is there a formula to calculate WHP. Or be within say 5%?
Thanks

yeah sure, go drag racing.

you can estimate your crank HP by calculating your weight vs. your 1/4 mile trap speed.

just use a calculator, like one at:

There's no formula - it's just memory and personal experience that we use to estimate. Just go to a dyno or drag strip if you really care.

Some of the recent G-Tech models will do this...

Not sure how accurate they are, but it probably gives an OK estimate.

According to my new Blitz SBC-icolor boost controller(it shows hp), for my mod:
HKS RS intake, TBE without cat. 22 psi peak boost. It shows my peak hp at 300 hp and my car is untune with 91 gas.

Send me 19.95 and I'll teach you how to calibrate your butt dynojet.

Or go to the track.

They give pretty ****ty estimates. You have to find a perfectly level road, and to find one out here, you have to go to the drag strip anyways.

I am running the 22 psi for only about 2k miles without any problem. but my evo 9 stock boost already like 20 psi. The hp on my Blitz SBC-icolor, I don't know is whp or not. but 300 whp for our mod should be fine. because some of EVO 9 with intake ,TBE,no cat, ECU flash can make at least 320 whp !!
