AWD dyno

I have a turbo XS UTEC, does anyone know a good shop with AWD dyno in NW TN or SW KY area to get my EVO tuned?

If you can't find one, then use the street. You don't need a dyno to tune, but it is safer.

dyno tune

I dont plan on doing anything major for awhile though and I want to make sure I have the most out of what I got, plus I want to know what I am pushing to the ground.

Your going to need a Dyno to get the most out of your car. That cant be done with a road tune.

That is untrue and is a myth. You can get everything out of your car on a road tune, and you know the tune won't change going from the dyno to the street. The highest power figure on the dyno is not always the most power to the ground when on the street.

a road tune saves alot of money also a tune can take up to a few hours and at 125 bucks a hour it can get pretty expensive

So your telling me your butt dyno can tell when you hit peak torque? A myth?? I guess these shops are wasting money then. Who knew. Do you think AMS road tuned the 988 monster? I'm sure then did after dyno tuning it like it should be to fine tune it. You say your saving money road tuning? Wait til you get a ticket .

isnt injected performance in KY, or track down to Atlanta to TopSpeed, anyway, dyno's are a great tuners friend but with the tools and 2am runtime you can do that on the highway just as much, as War said...I've seen awesome tunes from the street and $hity ones from a dyno. ;-)

To the original thread starter-

I'm in the Nashville, Tennessee area, and we use Dyno4mance in Calhoun, GA. Its likely a bit of a drive for you since its just outside Chattanooga, but well worth it. I have around 260 pulls on my car there over three years with verious different setups. I've been to a lot of dynos in the Southeast, and this is easily the nicest tuning facility IMO. There have been several Evo and WRX UTECs on this dyno with great results.

If you want more info or would like to chat, feel free to PM me. The shop owner is a great guy, and I'd be happy to put you in touch with him.

There is an AWD dyno here in St. Louis, I'm not sure what would be a shorter drive for you.
