O2 sensor wiring question!!
O2 sensor wiring question!!
i got a new o2 sensor on the o2 housing... how the heck are you suppose to wire this thing? there is a blue wire, white wire, and 2 black wire... the thing im confused about how do you know which black wire is which?? i know one is heater power and other is heather ground... i figured out the positive side and the negative side and the connection reads 12.46v which is good but i keep gettin cel light saying there is no activity coming from that bank...
how do i know if i got the wires right or not?? i know you are not suppose to solder aluminum wires which is how the stock o2 sensor wires are..so i use butt connectors...im gettin power reading but it doesn't seem right...any help would be good

If you bought a factory replacement, it would come with a plug on the end that takes all the guesswork out of it. It can only plug into the factory harness one way.
If you bought a non-factory generic, it should have a reference document describing which wire is which, no?

dont use a universal o2 sensor... They hardly ever work. Buy a OEM style sensor.
On the universal sensors 99.9 % of the time the black wires are the Heater wires and the white is normally the signal wire. the blue wire should be the feedback or input wire to the ecu.
