What to do with evo

Hello I have had an 03 evo since they came out, although im not sure what to do with it. Way back in 2004 for my car went down. I need new pistons, xfer case, and a new turbo the stock one has crazy shaft play. Since then I have left it in the garage just sitting. The motor and tranny are out of the car and I would really like this car to run again. The mods that I have so far are the greddy ic and licp, intake,boost contrl,ats double carbon clutch and ats flywheel, and tb exhaust. If I were to fix it I have about 10k to play with, and the car is paid off. I dont know if I should just fix it or just sell as a shell this car has been nothing but a big $$ pit for me. Been through about 4 clutches and 4 xfer cases. Im in southern texas and have a truck and flatbed willing to tow to almost any vender although I would prefer ams. So my question is what would yall do in my situation given the budget of 10k. Venders any help would be much appreciated as for as pming me a price to fix it. thanks for any help given.

while your car is being worked on you might want to take some driving refresher courses,,, 4 clutches and transfer cases and you only drove the car for a year

Most were install issues except the first clutch theres no good speed shops around here, and I have a fully built crx that has never been a problem for me and a nitrous powered bike that I have never had problems with.

IN sane. Send our drivetrain parts to shep, buy a kit to build your engine (pistons, rods, etc), and slap a 35r on there.

You're happy with 10's right?

I dont think 10k is enough for a 35r powered evo.

It will cost WAY less then $10k to do that setup that i just described. Try $7k, $9k w/ install

Aem ems- 1700
shep xfer case w/quafe- 2095
short block "ams"- 2750 (for the basic one)
Cams 272's- 600
Injectors- 400$
Gt35r kit- 3500 4500(ams)
I would also need a tune and fluids.
I also forgot the price to ship xfercase

This is without installation and prices that i just got off of venders. Plus the price to tow my vehicle across the country and back. Then fly out pick up the car and drive back.

Well, if you haven't already sold it another alternative to the AEM EMS would be ECUFlash. Some people are running it with GT35r kits. ECUFlash + ECU+ would probably do just about everything you would need the AEM EMS to do (ECU+ for logging).

As for the transfer case, what broke? If it is just a spider gear that broke then I believe Shep only charges $350 + shipping to replace them.

I think selling the Evo might be something that you regret down the line, unless you are going to buy an IX with the money! Good luck with whatever you decide to do.

Nice how much is ecu flash. I havent sold it yet im open to offers, but i would really like to get this thing up and runing again..
