1) Yes, the stock IX bov, which is the same as the JDM MR DV, will hold 24-25psi before leaking. Myself and others have tested it with pressure tests. Have you?

2) Why are you suggesting a Tial? That is for big turbo applications. Unless he plans to run 50psi with the stock turbo, he will be fine with his stocker.

How do you know it leaks? What tests have you done? I have never seen one (of at least 5) leak before 25psi.

Most Tials are VTA (if not all?), which means they are not a good solution. A Tial is a great solution for your GT35R. No idea why you'd be using a JDM MR DV with a GT35r anyway...

Not exactly, if it is designed for higher boost then stock you will get awkward mid throttle response and bucking / bogging on the freeway.

A genuine Tial is hard to find, if you want one. That goes for other brands like HKS(--I met a guy with an Eclipse that had an old-school HKS. That's something you don't see everyday.) Be wary of knockoffs. I find that most people get the wrong kind and resell it on Ebay. Like the good 'ol saying, "You get what you pay for."

Oh yeah, SEARCH!
This is exactly what I did. Disconnect it from the MAF pipe and plug the hole. You can get a rubber stopper at any local hardware store. It sounds great but sounds better if you install an HKS intake. I just did this yesterday and sounds great.

you dont have to get tuned for a bov, you can tune the bov itself for your application if its an aftermarket valve thats tunable of course

Who cares how it sounds. Its about how well it works. Dont spend you money on how something sounds an not know how it works, get an intake for that price. HKS SMF works.
He is right about the blow off valve, but completely wrong about the intake LOL.
