There are better buys out there, HKS is not true 3" all the way.

Failing that its a nice piece but with hit or miss fitment issues. Sounds great, not too loud, built nicely. Cant speak of longevity though I would recommend 100% stainless exhausts only.

Don't get it, POS. For all the reasons he said. The Main reason is it necks down to stock exhaust size, 2.1". Sad, just sad..

HKS is 3 inch til the muffler. Has a built in silencer that is like 2.5 inches. I believe a few people have removed it.

its a good exhaust, fits great, sounds nice. Hangs a tad low, but all depends if you drive over lots of speed bumps or steep gradients in the road (steep driveways, etc.)

Very popular unit

Yes it necks down (to meet the stock cat) to 2.5 inches. A 2.5 inch exhaust still can flow enough HP than most Evo's will make in their lifetime.

I thought it knecked down at the point where it connects to the cat?

Knecks down, yes its stainless, its heavy though and the funky overengineered rear mounting points are, well, a pain to install and align.

I also scraped the hell out of the can reversing out of driveways.

I've been around enough of them to know that they are quality exhausts...but like others have said they hang a little low. For the money there are equally good exhausts out there. I'm personally happy with my RSR GTII.
