Mr

I purchased my 2003 EVo VIII with 200 miles on the odometer, got it for invoice because I had to have WW and there were none left in Florida at the time.
I just testdrove a 06' IX MR and it had 2 miles on it and thats the one I want to buy.

They dropped it to 30,500.00 but I didn't make a deal yet. If they come down to 29,500.oo I might go for it.

Think about how many times they may have launched it. You might be looking at early clutch replacement. My stupid local dealer's commercial in 2003 for the Evo showed them launching the car in the parking lot! I test drove the same car, by myself. Also, the dealership's owner's son had already totalled two Evo's that were on their lot in the first couple of months they came to the US. Dealer's drive demo's crazy.

I bought a Civic Si years ago (2000 model year) and within 2 weeks of owning, some ****** weren't paying attention and ran into the side of it. It had under 1k miles on it and about 7000 bucks in damage. The car was never the same after that and I ended up trading it in a year later out of frustration.

My personal opinion is that if you are going to spend that much, I would pass. Why not fork over a little more money and get a brand new one with piece of mind. It might save you some money up front but it will be harder to sell in the future, you run the chance of more probs like the paint fading slightly and it being obvious where the damage was because it won't match, having rust appear at some point where the panels were replaced, etc etc etc.

I agree driving a car that had any kind of body work or other damage would just eat the hell out of me.

stay away from any evo you didnt breakin yourself. on my testdrive i ran the living **** out of a brand new IX, redlining and the salesman encouraged it. he was telling me to drive it harder.

basically joyrided a new IX with permission from the dealership. i hope no one bought that car.

EVOs are made to take anything you can throw at them.

My 2003 sees redline and 100mph multiple times a day every day. I haven't had one problem with it.

If it were me, I would negociate a little better deal and buy it. What is South Coast selling the MRs at?

Does this mean you buy brand new cars only? If so you are losing alot unless you keep them for several years.

Buy a brand new one with no miles and no accident from south coast mitsubishi for $32999. Sure it's $500 more, but that's a small price to pay for a lot more security with your new purchase
