+ 1 billion. and no cruise. both suck. im sice of the 5 point turns.

 

It doenst come with a TRUNK MONKEY !!!!!! And no cruise sucks on long trips or when getting paced by cops.

 

Mine also has the same issue with the rattling. Don't really like it but until I change the clutch I will live with it.

 

Yup! sometimes I feel like Austin Powers in that little cart trying to turn around in the first movie.



Cruize control??? - didn't that come in the AARP trim package with power seats with heated lumbar support ???

I hate it. I was hoping some folks with aftermarket clutches would chime in with positive info.

I guess I can scratch the twin plate off the list.

During my DSM days everyone always said to get the true OEM TOB. I wonder if this is the opposite. Is there a better than OEM TOB for the EVO?

 

Every Evo I have ever been in does this from 03-06. I havent been in one that doesnt do this. Its way worse with the AC on. I dont care though its a high performance machine. It is normal and does not affect performance in any way

 

Oh I know it doesn't affect performance. I've been running 320WHP for awhile and am still on the stock clutch. But it does sound like complete A$$ when sitting idle with the car running.

I guess I was hoping someone would say there is a high quality part upgrade to eliminate this issue.

 

The worst mod i ever done to my car was that dam exedy twin . Sure it works great at the track (witch ive not been to in 4-5 months) . But it is getting on my very last nerve for daliy driving . Next clutch will have to be #1 quite , #2 hold hp iam making , #3 $$ and #4 QUITE !!! in that order !! Its the best $1300 clutch you want to never hear ..

My 2g dsm did this with every clutch I ever put in, my stock Evo clutch did it, and my ACT clutch is doing it too. It's always the same thing...rattles at idle, especially on hot days, and if the AC is on it gets even louder.

 

I've had this on two cars now. A Toyota Corrola, (had the car 140k miles) and the EVO.

I'd only worry if (1) it gets really worse and (2) when it does get worse, if it sounds like its screeching or grinding.

But the lack of turning radius is a very close second.

OIC I saw a bunch of those during driving school. It's funny that driving school in AZ is actually fun and entertaining.
