I dont know I bought my car for straight out performance, so I really dont care about anything else. Its funny though everyone who hears me start up the car for the first time is like "dude whats wrong with your car?" lol..

If you think the stock clutch is loud...then dont get a Exedy twin disc... My exedy makes all kinds of noise.

During my DSM days everyone always said to get the true OEM TOB. I wonder if this is the opposite. Is there a better than OEM TOB for the EVO?
Yep, the twin disc is definitely noisier. You won't find one that is quieter than the stock one. As far as I know all the aftermarket clutch kits such use nothing but the stock oem tob. My Exedy twin has the stock tob. I know all others such as ACT also use the stock tob. Just get a good single disc setup if you are bothered by noise. When you get into modding cars you have to learn to accept some things such as a little bit more noise. You should hear my Evo from inside going down the road...the exhaust, rattling clutch, and roaring tires (AO32R's) don't bother me at all. They bother my wife a little though. No big deal, that just keeps her from wanting to drive it

Noisy Clutches

In my experience so far I'd have to agree. I was leaning toward an aftermarket clutch, but didn't want to give up my warranty yet because of possible transmission issues, (TSB on syncros). Because of my transmission and clutch complaints the Mitsu service writer said that maybe I needed a new clutch. Even though I was pretty sure I hadn't abused the clutch, I was reluctant to get another stock one. The service writer claimed that he could put an upgraded plate in and keep the warranty intact. It sounded reasonable at the time. Needless to say it turned out to be a race disk and it is 10 times as noisy as the stock one, not to mention it chatters pretty bad in some slipping situations. Unless I can find another solution I will probably go back to the stock clutch.

I guess I feel that its kinda sad that Mitsu couldn't produce a part with tighter clearances to eliminate an issue that makes the car sound like its on its last leg.

We can put this thread to bed now.

Again, there are plenty of performance cars that make noises like this, its not just a Mitsu thing.

I can learn to drive around the bad turning radius but I live in vegas and Its ike 115 degrees out here, and I think hands down the worst thing is the air conditioner, it sucks so bad.

At least its a dry heat.

Come get you some of this Heart of Dixie humidity where it feels like a sauna outside with a wind chill factor of 97 degrees in the shade.
