Is it common for Evos to idle rough with the AC on?

my bone stock Evo IX with 6k miles on the odo. only drops to 750rpm from 1000 the moment the a/c is turned on. after that the idle is very smooth and stable.

congrats on getting the EVo!!!! i had to wait 2 months for mine.....it was just plain torture i tell u in ur long *** week of waiting just hang around this board more and learn as much as u can.

mind me askin what year/trim Evo u're getting? stock or modded?

Yeah its not that bad...its what I like to call a dry heat...plus its better than snow...I lived in snow for 10yr in Missouri plus we got the Humidity in the Summer...now that will make you wanna jump out a window

My car idels rough with the A/c on especially sicne I have both Buschur motor mounts in place the entire cabin vibrates...pretty bad...

I got 272s in my car and a tune by Al and the car idles great with or without the ac. I don't have my rpms droping or rough idle. **** I hope I didn't just jinx myself, lol. I do notice less power with the ac on but this is normal.

I heard 272's can make your car have a rough idle?? I must have been mistaken...I what kind are they??

I'm from St. Louis so I know what you're talking about! Too hot in the summer, too cold in the winter.

That's what I thought as well but to my surprise I never had an issue due to my idle even before I had the tune. They are HKS.

Thats sounds more like clutch chatter, thats why it goes away when you push in the clutch.

Thanks! It's a white 03, with some suspensions mods but a stock engine. The owner is actually on this board, EvoMike03.
