Interesting - what were all your symptoms?

Got tuned and got the idle to set at 1k rpm when the ac is on.

IIRC this was more of a problem with the older Evos. My 03 had the same problem (car was stock), the rattle is from the throwout bearing, clutch in, rattle goes away. Never affected my car in a bad way except noise. My 06 MR has no such issue, but then again the bell housing and transmission are different (and redesigned for 5sp too).

I was wondering if this would make a difference. I think having an open air filter doesn't help either.
I was thinking something is wrong with my car. This is comforting.

My idle is ok, but lately ive noticed that when at the stop light, the car kind of feels like its not running smooth, I dont know if the injectors are dirty? I dont know. Could it be that i need a tune up? The car is a 2005 and only have 14K miles. I mean also have the problem with the AC, but even without it, the car doesnt run smotthly. Can someone give me a pointer?

Might want to do a mild tune. You should throw new plugs in every 10k miles or so depending on how you drive. My car ('03) has the same rough idle with the A/C on and the noisy t/o bearing. They're inherent with most of the '03-'04 Evo's so don't worry about it. Luckily I live in the Pacific NW so I only need A/C a few times a year

Happens to me too... the A/C on Evp's are straight up garbage so I have it turned off most of the time. My 86 tercel had better a/c.

^ totally.

it's like the throwout bearing and the ac clutch /belts / whatever rattle like everything is going to fall out and onto the ground.

not sure how mitsu released a car like this...

oh well. that's why I need a stereo upgrade

My evo is all stock performance wise and my AC idle definitely seemed to improve after my grounding kit install.

My car too , when stock had a bit of a rough idle. its 100 plus deg here in az though, so im not sure if heat has any part in the lower than normal idle.

Ever since my tune problem has went away!

I put a deposit down on a different Evo today. I'm going to pick it up in a couple weeks, these are going to be the longest weeks of my life.
