Royal purple 10w30 is the shizzle. I doubt it is any better than Mobil one but ITS PURPLE! Honestly I've used royal purple in all my DSM's and my Evo and I've never spun a bearing. I cracked alot of pistons and snapped some rods but the bearings were always A-OK

Honestly, I'd stick with Mobile 1 10W-30 (just like Mitsubishi recommends). This is not to say that this is the only oil that will work, though. It's just what I use. They can't possibly deny my warranty for using the wrong oil, then. And my car usually takes about 4.5 quarts or so each time.

mitsu will deny warranty on anything. i am suprised they havent denied anything due to the tint of the windows.

"Sir, your window tint caused the turbo to blow up"

Or more realisticaly (for mitsu that is) "Sorry sir, but we cannot fix your broken doorlocks as it is due to after market window tint. Oh and by the way, were voiding your engine warranty for kicks...."

I use redline and up to this point I have been very happy with it. What type of driving do you usually do (autox, draging, mostly daily driver, etc)?
