If you just plan on a TBE and a flash, i think thats where the IX shines

Its not just the mivec either, its the larger hotside, revised ecu,etc

yeah but its kinda moot since u can get them for 220 bucks... its not a revolutionary change over the 03-04's since its so easily upgradeable.

You may not feel the difference in that one IX vs your 04, but if you took 10 random 03-04s and 10 random 06s, put the same driver in each, then sent them all down the 1/4-mile, the 06s would average .3-.4s quicker and 3-4mph faster. That is a VERY significant difference in stock form. The 05 is not as drastic, but it is still a measurable difference (.1-.2/1-2mph).

MR 6sp is faster from 60-100 and is easier to speed shift. Equally matched the MR would still pull.

we have an 05 MR, and im picking up our new ix shortly...

i personally felt a big different in response in the lower revs on the IX, not that the VIII was sluggish, the MIVEC engine just feels a bit more responsive at light load and full load in mid rpms...

i made good power with our VIII when we started with bolt ons, i will be doing similar mods on the IX, and will post results.

I bet everyone will jump on the wagon and say how awesome the X is compared to the IX. The IX is just the new thing out and people like to prop up their purchases to make it seem like they got a better deal.

No, the IXs really are much faster, especially with light mods.
