They can't add them to the exsiting recaros and they're not going to make major changes in a design that isn't going to be around anymore, anyways.

I think if you look closely at the tax codes you'll be pretty surprised.

I am now involved in a dialogue with a Delaware dealership to see how low they will drop the price.
Also, to whoever said the car isn't sold in Canada, you're right. I am an American citizen so it's not a problem for me though...
Coffeeslug: Thanks man... to be honest I think I have some kind of psychological problem... I stress out SERIOUSLY over things like this, and it gets to the point where I can't focus or sleep. Especially when I have had my mind set on something for so long and then everything takes such a drastic change. I feel like my whole life is out of wack because of it.
Also, the fact that my parents are helping me with this car is making me want to go that extra mile to make sure they're not paying money they don't need to...
Seriously, I wish I could just relax about this kind of stuff, but I guess that's just my personality. On the up-side, I'm a really good guy who always tries to do the right thing... probably because if I don't I stress myself out over it

I'm confused. I thought everyone who bought at South Coast had to pay Cali sales tax, but anyone who had it shipped to them paid the tax of their home state.
I need more info!

Not living in Ca, i dont see why you would have to pay cali sales tax. When all my buddies bought our motorcycles, they all went to Wisconsin to avoid paying IL sales tax. You still have to pay something at the dmv, but no where near what dealer charges. My bike was purchased in IL, so im not 100% on this but i know 3 people who did it to save money.

I would not expect any up coming discounts on 2006 Evos. As said, they're not making any in 2007 so I don't think there will be any problem selling the left over 2006s.

Well...I bought a car in Washington and did not pay WA state sales tax.
I registered it in NY and since the car was physically in Washington state and I was not residing in NY I did not have to pay NY sales tax.
Point being CHECK THE TAX LAWS.

Last year I bought a Honda Accord in Las Vegas, I did not have to pay any taxes for the car on the spot. When I registred the car in California, I was hit with the registration fees and the taxes, $3500! You should look into the whole tax thing and exporting the car because you might save money when you purchase the car at the dealership but when you register it you will get hit with the out of pocket expense. Trust me those $3500 were felt right away in the pocket since it's not included in the loan I had. The good thing is that my montly payments were lower because of it and I don't have to pay interest on the taxes and registration fees.
Good luck and keep us posted.
P.S. I forgot to add that I drove the car off the lot. I don't think that whether you drive it off the lot or ship it matter. I think the laws of the state of final destination for the car is what is important.
Good luck and keep us posted.
