Idling problem !

I just put a hks racing intake and a turbosmart dual port blow off ...... The sound is amazing .. I mean the turbo spooling and the blow off sound... But i have the idling problem.. When at idle the car would go to 500 rpm even lower...It doesnt die bit still it bothers me.... I was told that tightening the blow off adjustment bolt would fix but it doesnt... Does anyone know how to fix it and why it does it...???

It's not just the BOV. The HKS Intake is giving you problems as well. You will need a tune to fix it.

For example, I have the HKS intake, got an ECU flash, after that no problems. Now, I have cams installed and I need a retune. The idle problem described above is happening to me now.

Intake should not cause the idle problem. It is your bov. Did you try the stock bov with the hks intake. It would of had more of a sound to it. Best bet would be the forge recirc bov.

Not to be rude or anything but do you even OWN an evo????

Have you searched through the form to find out how many people have run into issues with an intake WITHOUT an ECU tune????

Before you do that, please don't discredit good advice. Thanks

sounds like there's a leak in the intake setup somewhere and more air is getting into the system than the MAF is reading.

Sidewayz is right its not the intake its the bov. If the original poster wants reassurance of this just put the stocker back on. Hey what do you know idle is back to normal.
