its up to the officers descretion, its not a get out of jail free card at all. its a plastic card that has to be signed on the back with badge number by a police officer you know.

I dunno, I've never been pulled over for any kind of exhaust tickets but it just shows how all these imports are being targetted for no apperent reason (stereo typed).

I bet if you were driving a mustang with a loud exhaust you would not be pulled over.

I guess I am one of the lucky ones.
It just upsets me to see people being pulled over while having a factory exhaust.

any police officer can get them and when a cop pulls you over all it is good for is telling and proving to a cop that you have a friend/family member thats involved with authorities such as themselves but they DO NOT have to honor it at all. for example: you cant do 120 MPH through a school zone and have full immunity to a ticket just because you know someone whos a cop. Cops can give other cops tickets (especially in other counties/states) theyll most likely get out of it but it can happen !

its actually pathetic and sad to be pulled over for something like this. I can see why we're being targeted because of all the street racing and what not but it is still unfair to be pulled over in a bone stock car. Especially when the initial reason for being pulled over is not valid at all.

 

Glad I live in Indiana. I've been pulled over with hearing my car at WOT and never once said anything about how loud it was. He acutally asked me if I had cams in it cause the way it idled. He then proceeded to tell me that car have changed from his days of street racing.

sucks though for you. I've put my application for Indiana State Police and possibly gonna be putting one in for our city as well. I'm gonna pull over all the Harley guys and Subaru guys and just taze them cause I don't like them....

 

personally since the cop was such an ahole.. i wouldve laughed at him, laughed at him some more and said lets wait until the first 3500 cummins dodge rolls by, and we can pull him over together... (talk about loud, i guess a 4" exhaust isnt ) Next i wouldve said, sir please give me a ticket, so when i see you in court i can continue laughing at you, as well as all the people in the court room. ( ill call mitsubishi and they can come to court too, you can give them a ticket as well ) Where was his evidence anyways, ask for a decible reader let him stand from 50 yards and read it, and as it goes for tint purposes, i dont know about NY but in PA, tint meters are illegal evidence in the court of law!!! when he asked to put up your window, i wouldve said sorry, they are broken.... I cannot stand cops like that, sorry to sound like the average young punk in this situation, but that is just crazy!!!! anyways, good luck with him, you have a new set of eyes watching you at all times

Its about time them loud a$$ suby engines pay!!! as well as them harley's.. i live near a few biker bars and every night at 2 am they run WOT for the first 3 miles out of town and they wake me up!!

 

it is so rediculous, sometimes i feel like it would be easier and cheaper to just drive a beat up Ford and be a drug dealer than it would be to have a legit job and work hard for my nice car. I would never do that but im just saying...
