LOL i thought you were talking about PBA-bowling too .

I never relized how bad streotyping was till my friend gave me a ride in his chevelle. We did a huge burnout (not relizing the cop behind us since he had no rear mirror on) and all the cop did was fly up next to us with a huge smile giving us a thumbs up. Now lets see an import get away with that.

I dunno, I've never been pulled over for any kind of exhaust tickets but it just shows how all these imports are being targetted for no apperent reason (stereo typed).

I bet if you were driving a mustang with a loud exhaust you would not be pulled over.

I guess I am one of the lucky ones.
It just upsets me to see people being pulled over while having a factory exhaust.

First I'll say to the thread starter, what complete BS. My buddy has a stock 03 Evo and its the quietest performance car I've ever heard. Hardly makes a damn sound, even when the turbo spools. I wouldn't have even used the PBA card, just taken whatever he gave me and took it to court to prove his *** stupid.

To 19psi, don't try to claim your "OMG I was stereotyped for driving an import with a wing". In this case it might be true cuz the cop was a ****. I have a mustang with rather loud exhaust: longtube headers, catless H-pipe, and flowmasters. I've been pulled over TWICE in the past 2 months for exhaust related stuff.

The first time was in college park, I was driving down rt. 1 going exactly the speed limit at 10pm on a sunday night and I see a cop in the rear view. I know I'm doing nothing wrong so I just keep going. 2 seconds later, lights come on and bright *** search light in my mirrors. Bastard gave me a $50 ticket for no cats because my exhaust smelled bad.

2nd time was on a backroad with nobody around at midnight on a sunday night. Turned right at a stop sign and got on it through the first 3 gears cuz it was my friend's first time in the car. A cop just happened to be at the intersection and pulled out 2 cars behind me. Pulls me over a little while up the road and said he heard me going "***** to the wall" (direct quote I swear) on that road and wrote me a ticket for 'speed in excess of reasonable'. Didn't radar me or pace me, just heard my loud exhaust and gave me a ticket for it. Even commented that I should slow down because my exhaust is easy to pick out. What a *****.

So you guys that think loud domestics don't get exhaust tickets, think again.

Ok maybe I did exagerate a little bit.

My point is that imports are more likely to be pulled over for it than domestic cars.

I think we All agree on that part. no?

agreed

I didnt exaggerate this story ONE BIT but i know what You're saying and where You're coming from. Its just like how corvettes dont get no front plate tickets. Its all bull and there definately is a bias against import cars.
