So I just ordered an AEM EMS and the AMS solid intercooler piping with the Tial BOV (heard it was better than the HKS SSQV and doesn't leak) and I was actually kinda curious how the Tial BOV sounds on an Evo with the speed density setup.

Anyone have any video or sound clips by any chance?

well, any bov is better than the HKS SSQV.

 

Unfortunately I don't have a sound clip, but I do have the Tial and it is VERY LOUD. If I get a chance I'll try to obtain and upload a sound clip this weekend.

usually its not loud on most cars, PVD are you getting a fluttering sound? if you are thats compressor surge because maybe you have cams and too stiff of a spring??? if you have 272's or 280's you def want a 7 psi spring, or maybe a 9 tops. If you have an 11psi spring it may not be opening

 

^I wouldn't run anything other than a 7psi spring regardless.

 

I definitely do not have compressor surge. I'm not sure which spring it has in it, but I'm guessing it's the 7 psi spring with the way it lets off. If I build 22 psi of boost and completely let off the gas, it is quite loud. Shifting quickly between gears it only drops to ~8-10 psi so it isn't very loud in that case.
