AC Rattling

Whenever the AC is turned on the There is a rattling sound that comes from the engine bay but when the clutch is depressed it stops.
Anyone else having this problem?
Anyone know what it is or have any ideas?
Its driving me insane because I am pretty sure its getting worse

sounds like the throwout bearing, what happnes is when the ac is on the engne shakes a little and causes the tb to make noise. are you on stock or upgraded clutch? the reason why it stops when your foot is on the clutch is because it pushes against the clutch and stops moving. what drives me nuts is the car feeling like its going to stall when coming to a stop with the ac on.

i had a clutchmasters 4 puck clutch on my previous car, the evo noises are nothing compare to that one and it would even do it with no air at idle. sounded like rod knock.

No, it's the TOB.

I've still got the noise with me Exedy twin. Learn to love it.

Yup TOB is the problem. I just had my clutched/flywheel replaced at Gruppe-s and now its gone. I get an instant engagement reponse now when you release the clutch not like the stocker. Gruppe-s did a great job with the intsall and I give them lots of props.
