Hey guys, just wanted to know if im getting a greddy type s blow off valve for a good price. This guy is selling me his for $75 he had it for like 2 years. How long do bov's usually last? what should i look for in used bov's? Thanks!

i have one with the adapter too, only used it for about 3 months and i did the single spring mod to it too...i have the other spring as well.

In the Type S take it apart and check the rubber diaphram inside. Make sure there are no rips or worn through spots. That diaphram cost about $80.

umm...ok? the Type-S is a great aftermarket bov. I've ran about 5 or 6 different bov's and the type S is the best functioning bov right after the JDM DV (stock 9 bov).

 

mine took a crap around 23K. Started to flutter like crazy out of no where.

 

i had a very weird problem with my greddy type S BOV (recirc)...it caused very erattic idle, however it wasn't the typical constant stumbling idle, but at random times the car would just start jumping, and sometimes even stall. it was installed when i bought the car. Went back to the stock BOV and all of my problems cleared up.

 

Scroll up a couple post's and refer to the Single Spring Mod. That will solve your problems. I have a Type-S and had the same issues, did the single spring mod, and BOOM no more problems. Defiantly a agood deal at $75

 

Thats an awesome deal! They dont make them anymore and I've seen used type s's go for 175. I have had one on my car for over 15k miles and I love it...
