How much does your Mitsubishi dealer charge for an Evo oil change?

I went to South Holland in Illinois and they charged me $96. This was my first time there because the place where I bought it (Cub Shaver ) went out of business. I would either get the oil changed at Cub Shaver or at AMS depending on what side of town I was on. It's always cost $70-something and never more than $80. I asked them to explain their cost and they said that's their price. They won't see me again.

$10 labor
$1.37 gasket
$5.75 filter
$69.90 Mobil 1 Synthetic x 5
$2.61 Mobil Hd30
$6.35 Tax
$95.98 Total

How much do you pay at the dealer? The secretary told me to call back Tuesday to and speak to a GM. I want to know if I have a beef or not. I will just keep going to AMS. They claimed no porters were available and I didn't even get a car wash .

Please don't tell me to do it myself because that's not an option.

Why not just do it yourself?
Oil change at the dealer should be around $70, not close to $100.

It is extremely easy to do your own oil change and it'll cost only around $30 at the most depending on where you get your oil.
I usually buy mine at wallmart for about $22 dollars for the 7quart jug.
The filter will cost you about $6 a pieace at the dealer.

Plus, I think it's fun to do your own work and you know it's going to be done properly.

Do you live in chicago or near chicago?

I live real close to Cub shaver mitsu here.
Are you talking about the one located in bourbonnais?

If you live near bourbonnais area, give me a call when you want oil change done.
I'll help you do it.

There is one catch though, you gotta provide some for me.

Let me know if you need help man.

Free every 5,000 for the free maintenance....when i do it myself inbetween...pay $20 for 5 quarts of Mobil 1 at wal mart and about $10 for the oil filter at the dealership and an auto hobby shop $4 to use an auto lift...Total of $34...DIY is the best way to go...

Fresno Mitusbishi charges eighty something. If you don't want to do it yourself, just buy the oil at Wal Mart, an OEM filter at the dealership (about $10), and have some tire place do it for you for $15-$20. Just make sure that they put blocks between the lift and the car so that they don't ruin your body kit when they raise the car.

The bulk of his cost is in the synthetic oil. I would worry more about if the dealership knows what they are doing.

+1 on the blocks between the lift, the dealership that i go to always do that and i love them cuz if i buy my own oil and do the service with them, they only charge me $15 (well actually $17 after taxes). That includes filter, oil change service, fluids check and inspection oh yeah!!!!!

My dealer charges me $19. I supply the oil (about $25 in the big 5 quart bottles at Wal-Mart) and they do the labor and provide the filter and crush washer. When I first bought the car the Service Manager told me to bring my own oil, because they don't even stock it. Total cost to me is $44.

Last time I was in for an oil change, the oil drain plug wouldn't tighten because the welds on the nut inside the pan broke. The car was down for three days as they waited for the parts (drain tube, new oil pan) to arrive from Japan. All of this was done under warranty fortunately, as was the rental car they gave me to drive while I waited. I couldn't ask for better service, although giving me a Galant as a rental was a huge mistake in customer relations, as I was shocked at what a POS it was. No Galants for me in the future.
