Max boost on a IX with just cat back?

Im installing a Forge UNOS MBC on my IX and am curious at to what would be a safe boost level to run. I am adding a Espelir downpipe to match the catback and rally cat soon. Getting refleshed in early Sept when Dynoflash comes to cali.

Not looking to push anything at all, just want a safe level to run at till then. Or if its a bad idea at all I will hold off on the MBC till I get the rest of the mods.

Thanks!

I would say 20-19 psi on stock IX, anything higher you would need 93 or higher octane, since am in Cali 91 oct I run 20 psi

Why not run it at the stock level until you get tuned? That way you wont have to worry about anything going wrong. Have you thought about getting a Vishnu flash? He's shown very good results running that garbage 91 you guys have in Cali. He made 270hp @ the wheels on a Dyno Dynamics running 91 octane on a stock car. With exhaust and the flash you'd be right at 300 to the wheels on his DD. If im not mistaken Shiv was running 23-24 psi on 91 octane and showing no signs of knock.

Id safe to keep it safe without the tune keep it at 21-22psi max. Once you get it tuned, you can have it up to 23-24 as most seem to be running that on 91/93.

I'd say 21-22 on 93

Thanks!
Hey man I didn't know Al was a doctor.

It's reflashed.

I agree with all who suggest staying around stock until tuned.

Stock or plus 1 psi or 2 is fine. Boost falls off near redline anyway.

Keep it at 20-21psi until the custom tune, then set it during the tune wherever you want it and where is safe based on the tune itself.
