Backed up air condtitioning not warrantied?
My air conditioning line plugged up and has been soaking my car. The dealer said I have to pay $60 to unplug it and it is not under warranty. I have an 05 with 11,000 miles. Is this true?
Thanks
Thanks
This happened to me - not with an evo though. You should be able to fix it yourself as it is just a drain tube from the condenser. Put the car up on jackstands or ramps and look for a small, short plastic or rubber tube from the firewall area. It should be down low on the car. It is probably just stuck shut or melted. You'll know it when you see it.
i know my 05 has a 60,000 mile bumper-to-bumper, except the lights which are only 26K, so i think they should fix it. did you buy the car new? and don't you have your warranty info to refer to?

On second thought, find another dealership. The attitude they are displaying says they aren't going to be too concerned with the work done on your car anyway.

The reason the dealer is saying to pay is because the line being clogged is most likely being clogged by "outside influences" ie leaves... On an issue like this, go to a different dealer and get a second opinion. saometimes a different dealer won't care about stuff like that and fix it.
If that doesn't work call mitsu and demand to speak to a Case Manager. Of course, when talking to the case managers talk to them w/ respect and see if you can get them to assist you w/ the situation.
