OMFG Intercooler Sprayer

When is it "triggered" in AUTO mode. Is is based on 1) boost 2) load 3) temp.
I'd like to know specifically.. Been searching and no luck other than interval info and the fact that people can't hear it and to check your reservoir level...

Thanks

If you engage "auto" mode are you engaging an ECU code change where: auto operation is based on cool temp, throttle position, speed, and airflow...

I thought it was based on IAT and boost.

I was under the impression that in auto mode the sprayer kicked on at a certain rpm....

What temp?
What boost?
What load (rpm)?

Ah... the mystery of the intercooler sprayer.

To know if your's works, simply stand outside the car, and have your gf/bf/whoever press the manual button. You will see water squirt out onto the intercooler, and depending on the wind you might get a bit that squirts onto the front bumper as well (i get little droplets if i squirt it while at a standstill, but presumably if you are moving forwards that will go straight into the intercooler to cool it).

But... I haven't been able to see when it activates in AUTO mode. I know it certainly doesn't activate when at a standstill...

I found this little gem...

bhcevo
The IC maps are as follows:

IC relay control EV ------ no idea
IC relay control vehicle speed ------ speed above/below which it wont turn on?
IC relay timer control water temp ----- Hi and Lo settings, no idea
IC relay timer control RPM ---- rpm below which it wont spray?
IC relay timer ON mode switch time --- no idea
IC relay timer Air Temp ---- below this temp it wont spray? Where is the air
temp sensor on the stock car? Do we have one? Is it after the intercooler?

IC relay timer control judgement --- Hi and Lo settings. NO friggin clue.
IC relay timer time --- On and Off fields. Specifies duty cycle?

Anyone have any insight please share.

Does this piece offer any performance gains whatsoever? I guess if you put ice in the resevior then it might make a tiny difference, I disconnected mine and ran the hose out of the side of my car inbetween the hood and quarterpanel so i can spray unsuspecting ricers with water.

Yeah, i guess if i just drill a hole in my intake and spray right into it i should gain massive HP and be able to boost to at least 87psi before my engine blows roflcopter.
