you really dont need to rivet the bumper...it will still hold without it.

theyre a specific size...i wouldnt go out and grab any rivet. Call gruppe-s and see if they can give you a size. Im sure its probably metric.

Or, pop one of the stock ones and insert it into the fittings on your rivet gun and whichever one fits best, go find that size rivet.

I dont know about that. You're riveting the "backbone" into the bumper, providing you with a way of aligning all other necessary fittings/mounts. Im not sure you would get very far without it.

It also holds the plate hardware and lights.

EDIT, just read the title, u got the bumper but no rivets came with it? Hmmm ok well, hmmmm...

Rivets come with the bumper, also comes with extra "nuclear-titanium-cannot-ever-get-them-off" plastic clippy thingys from mitsu..., easy work,...it also comes painted. Get it on there, best shine mod evaa.

(Better to bump an old thread then start a new one)

Can anyone else confirm or deny this? I just purchased a jdm IX bumper from a member today and plan on installing it tomorrow and have no rivets. Anyone know what size they are if they are in fact necessary?

I think are just 1/8" rivets and you DO need them. They're 1/8" or somewhere around that in metric. I would just go to the hardware store and get 1/8" rivets and if they dont fit, just drill the holes out wth an 1/8" bit.

Good Luck

Edit: They may be 3/16" rivets i dont remember but do the same as above. The rivets are only $2 for 20.
