For reasons unrelated to the way I drive my car (no tickets or accidents) my insurance went up by $300 this year. My insurance guy told me our cars are now on the liability list to insure.

I don't understand how they came up with these numbers.

My insurance list from the cars I've had (6 month intervals):

2001 Chevy S-10 (Base) $950
2004 Honda Civic Si $1340
2005 Nissan 350z $1210
2003 Mitsu Lan Evo $908

No tickets, no accidents in all my record.

2600 a year for a 17 year old in NJ is not bad at all for an EVO - NJ has some of the highest insurance rates in the country
