What would you do?
So, I purchased a few things from a company...$3100 worth of stuff. That was 4 weeks ago. I was told the day I bought it to call the following Friday and I would have a tracking number. No luck there. I have been pretty patient and I get told every conversation that "Tomorrow there will be a tracking number." And well, the last time I heard this, was this past Monday.
So, I am usually ok on parts taking a while especially from small shops. However, since I had a current part on my car go bad, I decided to spend the $3100 for fix and upgrade. So, my car has been sitting for 4 weeks, nice rust covering the brakes, the thing is not drivable because of the broken part I want to replace/upgrade.
So now I am in between a rock and a hard place. It is like going to a restaurant and complaining before you get your food. You know that you are going to have spit in your food at that time since you complained. So, would I get hald assed service for complaining? Should I even inquire about my purchase status? Should I just call the bank and tell them to reverse the charges?
I am on that verge of next friday, which will be 5 weeks, to reverse the charges and just say f0ck it. It is disheartening because I said "what the heck" and trusted the place. And even did a referral of a couple of people. Now I feel bad for those people, and to myself since I obviously seem stupid now.
Just looking for some insight on what I should do. No I will not mention what parts or what company as the obvious becomes more clearer and while I am complaining and looking for answers in a public forum, bashing people isn't my style. Just want to get a general consensus.

Do what you have to. Find someone who can get you the parts FAST and reverse the charges to them. Teach the business a lesson. (Thats if they've made a mistake) I hate waiting on parts especially when i need them to get the car up and running.
and just for kicks...my guess is you're waiting on a clutch.

Oh...that isn't a problem. I saw it in my statement from last month...It was charged alright. I just hate to air dirty laundry out but I hate to have a $35K+ car sitting my driveway not able to function...if that was the case, I would have replaced the broken part with the a new stock part.

Not waiting on a clutch either. In the meantime though while waiting, I did have a new(All from a different place) HKS 280 bumpstick, Fidanza cam gear, ARP studs, re-coated the valve cover and other bits, AND 42Draft Designs Stewart Warner gauge solution ALL sent to me even after ordering a week after the original BIG purchase...And all of it is installed.
