Well I know that Sean Ivey revs his STOCK motor to 8700. I think a lot of people are not giving the stock motor enough credit. It is a 2.0, rev it. If you are scared simply swap out teh rod bolts and ARP head bolts along with the addition of a larger turbo.


Quick question, what speed are you going in 4th (all three transmissions please) at 8700 RPM's?

I dont know but I can do 100 MPH in 3rd gear at 7400 so I havent been able to figure out what I can do in 4th at the rev limit.

 

...or run a slightly taller tire. (255/45/17)


Forget about shifting into 5th.
Very slow process and the synchro will eventually be destroyed as I've discovered w/ my GT35 setup.

 

I have my limiter at 8500... I took the car all the way to red line in 4th gear. I think is went a little over 130mph.

 

Tire size is 235/45/17(Stock size)
