Blow off valve question

i dont believe in VTA if your running a MAF, so i upgraded to a evo 7 recirculator valve at one point it worked better than stock but still fell to 17 untuned with intake. i sold it a while back now im getting a new turbo possibly a white rabbit i only plan to run 21 psi, do you think a stock evo 9 will work well enough or i should go with something stronger.

yea, i have the JDM MR BOV. love it. same drivability as stock, but no leakage like that weak sauce stock one we get over here in the US. plus... its cost effective. no downside there!!

Taper? 20 to 17, right? Thats not the BOV/DV thats the boost sol. taper, unless you have a MBC/EBC, you will have taper. And still some at very high rpms.

Hey BLAK, yea i have heard of a few people here and there not holding on it, then go to the forge, then some even went back to another JDM MR BOV and it worked out fine for them. its like theres a select few JDM ones that have little Gremlin's inside. So far.. mines been great tho.

Excused.

A list of what you have, or have tried...does wonders when you need help.

Our turbos run out of steam at about 7k. Then they naturally taper.

Maybe you have a boost leak?

+1, I have heard this complaint before.

Go with the Forge or APS (Dual Port BOV if you want VTA and RECIR.)

As long as you have the correct spring in, it should only need some fine tuning. Shouldnt be much different than tuning a type-s.

The APS is can also be dialed in.
