Last night i was driving my car when all of the sudden the car popped out of gear. I was just cuising to my house when it happened. I put the car back into gear and it starts to go then it shakes. The car jumps like it would if you were riding the clutch. The car idles a little off when you first start it but then it smoothes out and is fine.

I was having a few problems with my tranny. It was grinding going into fifth and i had the TC howl. So I guess my question is did my TC or tranny finally call it quits or what.

The car is on its way to Mitsubishi right now but the service department isn't open till Monday.

Any help would be greatly appreciated and I already did a search.

 

TC's howl, so I would say it is a trans. problem.

 

Hub and Sleeve? That's what it was on my DSM when it would shoot the car out of 4th for no reason.
