Question Help Installing Defi Control Unit II

I have searched about 13 pages of threads here trying to find some installation instructions for the Defi Control II. I know that there a couple of instructions like the ones on the featured section, but from the information that I have been able to gather from the different posts the colors of the cables that you can tap to make the installation have changed for 2005 Evo onward. Can anyone give me some help with this, does anyone have a tutorial for this or at least some nice set of instructions on how to install the control unit II on a 2006 Evo?
I would really apprecite any help I can get.

If you are just inquiring on where to tap the wires for power etc. I found the best place is the clock. Remove the radio/hvac trim and remove the trim which holds the clock. On the back of the clock harness you will see everything you need all labled. Tap and you should be good to go.

It doesnt matter what color the wires are. GET A TEST LIGHT and follow the directions supplied by Defi and you will be just fine. There are various places you can tap into the wires and it all depends on where you plan to mount the unit. I found this installation to be much easier than I thought so PM me if you have any problems.

There used to be a guide on evomoto somewhere, which is what I followed, but I have an '03 so all of the colors matched up. They have you using the cig lighter for all the taps. There may This works all find and well except for the ignition power. Here's the problem: If you tap the cig lighter switched power, the gauges fire up when the key is in ACC position. I have oil pressure, which when the key is in ACC obviously is 0 and the alarm just keeps going off. So I tapped into the A/C power harness and used a test light to find which wire had power ONLY when the key is in the ON position. So the lighting, ground all that is still in the cig lighter, and switched power running off the A/C harness. Working perfectly for me so far.

mine is tapped back there, but if one of the vamp clips ever comes off (like mine did recently) its a pain in the rear to take everything off and redo

Agreed. That's why I used the A/C power harness, as easy to get to as the radio.
