Evo 8 questions...
Evo 8 questions...
Hey, i was wondering about a few things. I am planning to buy a car in around 2-4 months. And am considering several cars within the 30k range give or take a 2gs. Which is about perfect for the Evo 8 along with the Audi 3.0 Acura TSX and the benz c230sedan. In other words the Evo 8 is the only option i have for a pure sports car.
First would this car be high maintenance? I mean compared to other cars i listed above. I currently drive a 00 maxima and i have free maintenace but i know that mitsubishi does not. How much would i need to shell out per year?
As one can tell my other choices all involve some sort of luxury. Yes i wish to be very cozy and comfortable. Im wondering if i can really live with a full sports car. I guess its either all or none in my options. The price for the cars will all come around to be the same not including the maintenance fee.
hm i know i had a lot more questions but i can't think of them right now. Anyways thanks in advance.

Honestly, for what you are describing you would not be happy with an EVO. An STI would suit you better. It has been reviewed numerous times as having a more comfortable ride with a better interior. These are not the characteristics of a true sports car like the EVO. You may also want ot look at the G35 coupe or 350z.
I really highly dislike the looks of the wrx. As for your other suggestions im looking for a sedan not a coupe. And yea by descriptions it might seem that i might dislike the evo later on but then again i have a feeling i might really like it. Having a car like the evo and not a normal sedan. =I
The G35 sedan would really suit you...it has far more luxery than the TSX and alot more power than the Audi or TSX.. it's no Evo but it's really good espc. if you plan to keep the car stock more or less... if you want luxery and speed..and want to mod the car.. i'd recooment the TSX...looks amazing..has the most amazing interior and quality for under 26k... made by honda.. u know it's gonna be good quality and good reliablitly.. I've sat in an evo.. and it's really nice.. liek people say it sux.. but personally i liek it.. my dad owns an Acord v6.. it's no accord luxery but it's gotta taste of it's own... test drive em all..and see which one u liked... u never do know..
For some reason i can't see myself in a G35. I guess im not looking for anything in between. G35 to me seems to show off a certain age thing (Maybe its jsut cuz the car is too big?). I have no clue why but G35 or a much higher class benz or BMW i can always drive when i get more older. For now i guess i want stay with something thats a little younger.
Of course everyone has different opinions on what age a car will show. However to me those choices are about my only option. After all i am only in college and after i graduate i will have plenty of time to drive other full on luxurious cars. The cars i listed have a certain mix of sports in it but the evo is full sports.
Sorry if i keep on seeming to come with excuses and i know it's really weird as i don't know what i really want. I can picture myself happy with any of the cars i listed.

Have you considered a Mazda RX-8? i'm betting it would suit you more. there should be little maintenance because its NA (not like the exploding turbo rotaries). It also costs 27K for the cheapest 250hp RX-8. Its about 200lbs lighter than the evo and has 50/50 weight distribution. The inerior looks very nice also (the parking brake is a triangle shape too). I almost forgot...it has a 9000rpm redline. If you do ever decide to mod it, there will be turbo and supercharger kits available soon.
i hope you pick the one that you like.

hey
from the sounds of it, i dont think youd like the STi either. although the ride is "softer" it is far from soft. the EVO and STi are very similar in there roots, and both are as "sporty" as they come in todays market. they are both street monsters.
"i wish to be very cozy and comfortable" - with that statement right there, i would definatly steer from both these cars. the audi is an awesome car, and personally it the best of the cars you listed. you get AWD and audi is on top of its game for luxury and build quality. i had an S4 and loved it. but it was TOO much luxury for me. but that car was faster than snot, and a dream on the highway.

First off the Evo is not a "sports car" by definition, for one it has 4 doors. Anyway it sounds like you really like the Evo. Or at least very interested in it. I would do a test drive on all the cars that I was interested in before making a final decision.
Make your decision based on what you want and not what your friends think you should drive. Otherwise you'll end up regretting your choice. Do a test drive and find out as much info as you can on each vehicle your interested in, then make your final decision.

Yea i am really interested in the evo 8. Even if it varies greatly or the exact opposite of the other cars i listed. I guess i'll wait the 2-4 months look at the 04 audis and 04 benz, and test drive them along with the evo. But i have a feeling i won't still be able to decide then.
Guess i'll just have to wait and see.
