What dealership is this?
Just so I don't go there and ask for any work to be done if I am on a road trip.

If they cut corners to save a few bucks on oil, imagine what else they might cheap out on?

Yea thats what I was thinking. I usually change it myself, I have been working my *** off so I was going to have them change it. When he said Castrol I was like WTF. I went to Auto Zone to get some 10-30 Mobile 1 and the were out of it. They had the 15K mile **** but I didnt want to get that.

Thanks for the input fellas

BTW I work at Moore Mitsu.

Question

In my basement laundry room I have a GE automatic clothes washer. On the underside of its lid, fired right into the enamel, it says to use Tide detergent. So, if I use some other detergent will my clothes washer be ruined? I don’t think so; I know this is just an advertisement, just like the advertising they stuck on the oil filler cap on our engines. Hmmm, I wonder how much money the oil company pays for each Evo that goes out Mitsu's door.

Warranty does not require M1.

But it is probably that Wal-mart quality....You know...."Seconds"

Like everything else they sell.

Sorry to Wal-mart bash but I would rather spend a couple extra bucks and buy it some place else than give those scumbags any of my money.

I was going to take it to the dealership but after reading this I'm having second thoughts.

So Mobile 1..Can you specify which one exactly. And what do you guys think of Royal Purple?

$40.00 is not bad for an oil change. I pay about $32.00 for a case of MOBIL 1 6 quarts at pep boys. About $8.00 for oil filter and washer from the dealer. I should let them change my oil instead.

It's Mobil1...says so on the bottle...it's just that if you are Wal-Mart, you can buy more than anyone else and get a good deal, then pass it along...

People don't realize that the reason Mobil 1 is all over Mitsu. is because the are one of the major sponsor for rally racing. I bet you if some other big company like Pennzoil or Quaker State was the big sponsor rather than Mobil 1, people would be using that oil. It's just like gas. Some prefer Shell while others prefer Union 76 or Chevron. Gas is gas, use what ever synthetic oil is available.

Just as not all supreme unleaded gasoline is the same, such is the case with oil. I would much rather run Motul but Mobil1 is a sane alternative. If you use Pennzoil or Quaker State you are taking chances...why would you want to do that when Mobil1 has been proven to work well?
