Tinting windshield triggers SRS (airbag) light??
Once the SRS light is triggered, it has to be turned off with a scan tool. Even if it was just triggered from a fault that happened one time, it wont reset from disconnecting the battery.
I cant think of anything that would set a code just from tinting the windshield. Might just be coincidence. Although, if the light wasnt on when you left the car with them and it was when you got it back, I think I would made them aware of it so they can fix it.

u dont need an scan tool the reason why im saying is because the srs monitor has a back up power supply that's why im saying disconnect the battery for half hour that way the srs back up power would drain and the computer would go blank and clear you codes, after the half hour if it comes back right on then you have a hart fault which it means the system needs to be check it out and some parts might need to be replace to clear the code.

You would need something like this to reset the light.

the airbag control module is under the center console/dashboard in front of the shifter and if ya spill something on the console around the ashtray its possible to get the airbag module wet

Problem fixed....
Tint shop sent me to a local body shop. Guy at the shop used a snap-on code
reader/resetter. He could only find Mitsu vehicles up til 2003.. but was still able to reset
my SRS code.
The SRS code is 57, if I remember correctly.. something about the driver seatbelt
tensioner??? No idea how it was tripped...

Maybe something is wrong with it? I would never blindly clear a code from a car. I would have gotten it checked. If I still worked for
I could have found out what it was. I wouldn't mess with anything involving the SRS system.
