clutch adjustment so it line up with brake pedal.

If I do as indicated on this website will I be able to align the clutch so the height of the clutch pedal and brake pedal are the same? http://www.evomoto.com/tech_info.php?tPath=1&tech_id=28

Thank you
-John

Yes. You will most likely need a pair of pliers to turn the rod- there's not enough access for a wrench IMO

The rod will turn by hand just wiggle the clutch pedal. If not there is flat spots on the rod to put a 8 mm wrench

im sure everyone else on here is lost to what your are trying to do.. Being you havent really had any replies... If you adjust the clutch pedal to the same height as the brake then when you fully apply the clutch pedal down to the floor you will not disengauge the clutch fully therefore you will have a hard time shifting and you will wear out your synchros... The clutch needs to start engauging roughly 3" from the floorboard. Failure to have your clutch adjusted propperly will cause you more damage then you would like to know.

That is not the way to adjust the height. I don't see that ANYWHERE on that link. Why exactly are you doing this?

I agree, this is going to cause serious engagement problems. Have any of you guys every adjusted a clutch on a DSM or Evo?

I adjusted mine, I bought the car with an Exedy Hyper Single(I believe) and had some issues with the clutch and this fixed it. It shouldn't be done on a stock clutch and it surely isn't measured by the height of the adjacent(sp) brake pedal.

If I remember you from posting on the nasioc forums you will not be able to get the clutch and brake pedal lined up evenly. You can adjust it a little bit but if you do it too much you will lock yourself out of gears. If you MUST and i mean MUST have the clutch pedal even with all the other gauges look @ a different car. I don't see whats the big deal with the clutch a bit higher then the other pedals.

What is in the link works to lower the pedal. IIRC the lock nut is a 12 mm wrench. As I said, there is no room to fit a wrench in there to turn the rod. Use a pair of pliers. Mine would not turn by hand.

Yes, you are lessening the throw/disengagement of the clutch but if you don't go crazy it will still shift fine. I lowered mine and it shifts fine. It is still slightly higher than the brake but I like the lower engagement better. The stock engagement is WAY too high for my tastes.

There is no reason to have the clutch pedal the same hight as the brake.

If anything you want to adjust the brake & gas pedal so eveything is inline for heel-toe. Most EVOs seem to be adjust for heel-toe from the factory.
