Well, I guess my car is mad at me for some reason becuase if it's not one thing it's the other. Well, after realizing my TC rear seal was leaking, I noticed another problem when I came home the other night. After I had turne my car off I heard some sort of "sizzling" or boiling noise. I opened up my hood and the spot that is pictured had some sort of fluid bubbling and fizzing due to the extreme heat of the manifold.

I obviously had to let it cool down and then I went to inspect it. This is def engine oil. Now whats wrong with her?

Nope. Drives fine, no idling issues. Nada. But I know that is oil, you can tell from the pic of my finger.

 

That's not good. Do a compression check ASAP.

Is the oil feed line right above where you're noticing this?

 

I believe the pic he showed was the exh manifold, I don't believe there are any lines above the exh manifold.

 

It looks like it's seeping out through the gasket. Like chil said, do a compression test.

 

I hade that problem when I change my head studs with ARP until I cycled it and re-torqued. Then it went away.

Pull your plugs and look down in the cylenders and make sure there isn't any oil on top of the pistons or cracks... Then do a compression test.

 

Nope. This is right next to the first runner. I had studs put in not too long ago. Could this be the cause of it? Especially if the head was NOT removed?

 

You need to do a compression test... sounds like ur rings are fried and leaking. There is no oil lines above the manifold, so that quickly rules out being leaked on.

Doubtful that line would leak unless it was messed with... sounds like you've found the problem

 

I doubt it's your head gasket - if it was you'd probably be over heating.

Let us know what you find.

 

well the metal gasket seems to be in good condition. have you noticed if your engine is burning up any oil?

 

I doubt its your head gasket but a retorque isnt a bad idea. If I had to put my money on it I would say valve seals. Stock EVO valve seals seem to be going out fairly frequently on 30K plus EVO's
