Why don't you do what 99% of road racers do and use blue 3m painters tape....cheap, easy to put on, very fast, protects everything well.

 

because no 'road racer' i've ever seen uses 3m blue painters tape for anything but putting numbers on the side of their car and/or taping their headlights. 3m tape is like an inch wide and would take hours and hours to cover half the hood/fenders/bumper. thats why they make bras. put on and take off in a matter of minutes.

 

Dude 3m makes 3" thickness it only takes like 5 minutes tops unless u are retarded

I've seen many people use the 3M painter's tape and I've used it myself. It only takes me about 10 minutes to get it on for 3 layers. The fun part is when you get to take it off and throw the huge blue tape ball at friends and try it make it stick.

 

I have the Colgan hood bra only. I got it last month and it has saved my hood from rocks already. It is $57 shipped. I also have one on my M3 and not one chip on the hood. And people always ask me how I keep my hoods so mint. Btw, they only list the 2003 evo8, but it fits my IX because they share the same hood.

 

x2 Don't get a bra. I bought my used 8 and the previous owner had a bra and when we took it off, the paint was chipped. That's probably why i had a good deal on the price of the car.

 

Put 3M tape all over the front of the car? Don't be stupid.

He wants a bra to cover the front fascia entirely, not just headlights and a few points. Its a solid investment imo since paint chips fairly easy on mitsu's.

 

ive been using the evo8 bra on my evo9 at the track.....looks like *** but hey, it was free from MOD06 and it does the job

 

ever thought that the reason the bra was on there in the first place is because he was tired of getting paint chips?

I kinda think the tape thing is a good idea... despite the funniness, the same protection from when you need it, good enough imo
