Just sold my 05 MR.
Just sold my 05 MR.
I miss her already but I figured I get as much as I could for it now rather than waiting and try to trade it in for the Evo X. I only got 26K for it but it had a few bumps and bruises so no big deal. It's gonna be hard waiting over a year without owning an evo especially now since my daily is a mazda3...ugh.

waiting a year....? try a 1.5 - 2 years
Why the X? Have read what is happening to it? I was doing the same exact thing untill I read about the commonalities with Dodge and Hyundyia with the frame and Engine. I chose the last best EVO before the American market killed it. I am waiting on shippment of the EVO IX MR SE... Hurry up South Coast Mitsu, LOL.
BTW, This is just my opinion and not meant to offend anyone or start an arguement. Just my .02 cents....
Good luck,
-Nate

I dont understand what the big deal with common platforms is. Car industry has been doing this for ever to cut production costs and what not. This is nothing new, and im sure the new platform will be better than the current one

I have heard that but as long as it has the paddles and is 0-60 in under 4.5 sec. stock and has atleast a 5 year 60K mile warranty I will order one. I believe that dodge and mitsu have been sharing parts for years and I dont see why hyundai could hurt mitsubishi. I get what you are saying and all but I just want a bad *** AWD car that I do not have to mod...been there done that and lost way too much money.

Every year of the EVO has gotten better so far. Hence EVOLUTION. Itll be no different with the X. The X will out perform the IX in every way its common knowledge. Again who cares about shared platforms all car companys do this and always will. Now Im not saying there wont be bugs to work out I wont buy a first year X but Ill get a second or third year.
Different than the 03 EVO which IMO is not a first year car. The VII is the same just wasnt sold here

Just take what we are saying with a grain of salt or allow it to be a decision maker, in the end it is all up to you.
