Just sold my 05 MR.
I like the ix as well but I had an 03 VIII and upgraded(not really) to an 05 VIII MR so I figure its time to skip a generation and go with the X. If only I had the cash for the new skyline but with kids, a wife and a mortgage it aint gonna happen plus I need 4 doors.

On this topic, I'm on both sides of the fence. I believe that the EVO always evolves and that the X will be better. But then again, the IX body and motor are so great, and there is a possiblitly that the X might not be better.
Anyways, this is how I am dealing with the problem. I went and got a IX and I'm gonna wait for the second production year of the X and if it is the ****, then I will buy one, but Im keepin the IX, too.

I thought about letting my evo go, but right now I just can't do it. Especially if they're gonna become a rarity. I mean the 8's and 9's are so sexy and they're gonna ruin it. So I wanna keep the sexy one.
Where in NJ does the buyer live; if you don't mind me asking.
I saw two silver Evo's this afternoon in the my area (Matawan area).
Could this be the new owner of your car?
Hang in there.
I'm sure there will be many other cars between now and when the Evo X is released that will tempt you.

For the O.P.. If you already sold your car, you must not have been happy with it? Maybe an evo is not for you.. Just a thought. I would have waited til the car actually came out before ditching my evo. (If I even wanted a X)

Honda > Acura
Toyota > Lexus > Scion
Mazda > Ford > Volvo
Nissan > Infiniti > Renault
Chrsyler > Mercedes
BMW > Mini
Mitsubishi > Hyundai > Dodge
VW > Audi > Lambo
and the list goes on, so it's nothing new and I suggest you stop crying. Far as engine wise, mitsubishi will be using and engineering there own world engine for the Evo X in japan. Dodge, nor Hyundai will be using the 4B11 engine in there car, as the Evo X will still use a 2.0L engine, dodge and hyundai smallest engine will be 2.4L's. So how do you figure you choose the last best evo before the american market killed? American market killed? The car isn't even out yet and it's killed? Sounds like you have no proof to your claim, so it's pretty much BS to me. I understand this is your opinion, but its very vague and skewed.
