I dont have anything to compare to around here so i was wondering if you guys could tell me how i am doing... this was an average race for me... i think i put up 14.4 at 4100 elevation. the car was stock at the time.... I would have a newer time but i smoked my clutch racing a srt-4 the day i got my ecu back from vishnu so i havent been able to race lately...... please give me some pointers
oh yeah... the race is against a Camaro SS with a corvette motor swap....

1) Use the Drag Racing forum.

2) No way to tell how good the launch is. It's too dark to see anything, and unless you show us the 60', then it doesn't even matter what it looks like. The timeslip tells the tale.

3) If you ran a 14.4, then it was likely a very poor launch.

4) Your mod list scares me. You have an aftermarket intake manifold, a catch can, and a Xede? That is very strange.

 

sorry i am new.... i didnt know which it fit in... this is a podunk strip and it only has a clock... no sixty or 1/8 mile times...
about the mods....
the mani was a gift... and the catch is just precautionary... the xede... well thats just extra boost...
they arent the only things done... just didnt feel like putting the rest...

 

The Xede is not a boost controller. It is a very sophisticated and expensive tuning device. You use a boost controller to control boost, although the Xede can partially do it in addition to its main job, which is to provide a tune. Even if the intake manif was a gift, there was no reason to install it - the best bet was to just sell the thing and use the cash towards a mod that helps a lot like the TBE, or save it until you do a stroker and big turbo.

Back to your launch - you need a timeslip to know if you're launching well.
