There has been another thread questioning the reliability of the
line as a whole..
The good news is that our beloved Lancer is tops in the compact class..
Should include the EVO..
Power's 2003 Initial Quality Study is based on responses from more than 52,000 purchasers and lessees of new 2003 model year cars and trucks surveyed after 90 days of ownership. This is the 17th year that this study has been produced.
Here are the specific category leaders for 2003. Note the vehicle(s) in first position are the overall winners; vehicles on subsequent lines of each category were also mentioned in the J.D. Power press release.

when you make the list, nothings a bad thing IMO. Im more surprised that Honda Civic, or Accord didnt make this list. Guess they arent so Quality as they say they are.

90 days means nothing at all....ppl are still loving their cars and are biased at this point. I too was wondering about Mitsu reliability. The first car I ever drove was the family car.....a brown/later faded to pinkish brown Mitsubishi Galant 1985........so many problems, the most notable was the shocks went out and it became a low rider, and every speed bump I hit my head would hit the roof. I swore I'd never get a mitsubishi, but this Evo is hard to resist. Anyone else had any crappy mitsu problems?
