I have found that in some cases stock parts from mitsu. cost more then aftermarket. Most of the time they will quote you on the cost of the original parts. Since it is an Evo they have to go through mitsu. to get them most of the time. You might make a little money off of the deal.

Always call the cops and get a report filed when it happens. I've had it happen a couple times where the other driver is all apologetic and claims it's their fault and they'll take care of it, but when it comes time for them to talk to their insurance company, the story suddenly changes, and they're not sure who's fault it was. Insurance companies will take any opportunity to pay out as little as possible so if they can find a way to shift some of the blame your way they will jump on it.

And this is why you call the cops.

Like I said, if you're homeless and on the way to your parent's funeral, I'm still calling the cops. =)

Or in his case, if you just got the **** kicked out of him. (That should have been a warning sign, in so much as he probably deserved it for some other crap he pulled)

i'd take it to the mitsu dealer and have them do it. if he has collision coverage on his insurance they should cover every penny. atleast start at the dealer, get their estimate and if u dont want them to actually fix it the insurance company will probably cut you a check to take it somehwere else.

Find out who works on exotics and take it there. Usually places like Porsche, Aston Martin, etc. will have a contract with a local shop that they use exclusively. If it's not going to be reflected on your insurance, make sure his is paying out the @$$ for you. With any luck his premium will go up so high he won't be able to afford to drive anymore. Also, definitely call the cops and see if you can still file a police report. Hit & run is definitely a serious offense.
