What's up all. I just read in the "STI sold my soul to the EVO" thread some folks are seeing and getting the EVO for now below MSRP We all know that the STI is out now and that all the '04 models will be rolling in showrooms shortly this fall. The just released hype is gone for us enthusiasts and maybe sales aren't up to par for every day folks who don't even know what the EVO is about. Now these dealers really shot themselves in the foot turning off some customers with there get rich quick scam a lesson learned guys So is the new standard now to get the EVO for below sticker? I wonder how overall sales are on the EVO and it's really looking like this fall will be the time to get the EVO for a steal Post up if you guys are seeing the EVO's going for a good bargain around your areas.

In my opinion May is the best time to buy an evo. I don't know why but i have the feeling that after 2fast 2 furious the car will be marked up again.

I totally agree with you gtr, "May is definitely the month to get an Evo." I should be receiving my white evo next week. Paid $1200 below MSRP.

below MSRP at Don Davis in Arlington, TX

I stopped by Don Davis Mitsubishi in Arlington, TX and they have two Red Evo's without sunroof they are very willing to work a deal on to sell. I talked with them for a while, very nice group.

I am looking for a Yellow or Silver with a sunroof, door sill scuff plates, sport pedals, and brake cooling guides, sport guages, and front corner air dams. Plus Cruise Control!

They said when they sell these two they could get me one like I want, so if any one is looking for a good deal on a Red Evo without a sunroof, talk to Don Daivs and lt em know Kory Yingling sent ya.

I hope to be in an Evo within the next few or so weeks and look forward to runing some fast laps with everyone at the speedway and the ranch, and all the autoX's.

Is cruise control an option? I didn't see that under accessories?! How much is the dealer charging for the cruise control?

I haven't found cruise control to be an option, but that is the only thing missing from the car in my list of wants.

Too bad the STi doesn't have a sunroof or radio and who knows when they are going to finally show up, sigh.

You guys are killing me, but I agree with you. I dealt with several dealers and got them down below MSRP and was ready to buy..then I find out there are no garages available in my apartment complex....probobly will be a couple of month wait..

I'm waiting to get my garage in the back completed to move my mr2 turbo back there so the daily driver Evo can go in the front garage. I'm hoping by the time I find a yellow Evo with what I want at the price I want I'll be done building the garage. The lift in the back will just have to wait till I have another car and a need to stack em back there.

So if anyone gets one of the Red Evo's with out sunroof from Don Davis there, that just means I'll probably end up with my evo parked outside for a few days.

I have not been able to find any in the Minneapolis area cheaper then MSRP. If cars are sitting on lots (and there are very few of those) they are getting loaded up with dealer accessories. Oh well, MSRP isn't too bad considering how long I have wanted an Evo.

Actually here in the DFW area there are a few EVOs sitting on dealership floors. Some have additional things added on , but quite a few are without any additinal addons. The two at Don Davis are clean adn ready to go. I nearly drove off with one last night, but need to keep my self in line and get exactly the color and stuff on it that I want.

You could save yourself a bit of money and break the car in by flying down to pick one up and driving it home. Plus it'd would be really fun. Bring a video camera and tape all the rides falling by the wayside trying to keep up on the way home. Even keeping it below 5000rpm for the frist 6 hundred or so miles you could embaress quite a few show and no go slow pokes.
